When I asked what kind of music we wanted for Granblue Fantasy,
they suggested a Celtic flair—something that I'm actually quite
comfortable with. It'd been a while since I was able to compose so
leisurely and in such a straightforward manner.

Melodies used for the towns and so on are mostly peaceful—like
how music you heard when you were a child can calm you down
and feel comforting. That's the atmosphere I went for.
I mean, things get lonely by yourself, right? And even if you might be at peace internally,
that doesn't always mean you're at peace with your surroundings.
True peace is when a number of people, dozens even,
are able to enjoy something together.

And then there's harmony. You need every single component to
reach equal footing and create that perfect balance that sounds satisfying to everyone.

Whenever I go to play an RPG with a dramatic, engaging scenario,
there's a feeling I get before and after, like I'm able to live an entirely
different life than my normal one, you know? I love that feeling.

You could be living your day-to-day, but sometimes,
you just want to be a really strong warrior and fight some monsters,
or maybe even fall in love a little.

You can feel like you're embarking on a whole new life when you
first start a game. So I hope people will come and give themselves that
experience with this game too.
