The Sky Realm

Incomplete land formations that drift across the skies

A world of countless islands floating across the blue sky.
The Sky Realm consists of several skydoms, separated
by a turbulent strip called the Grim Basin.
Though the realm was once dominated by the Astrals,
skydwellers revolted during the War and eventually
succeeded in driving away their invaders.

Skydwellers

Born of the wind, travelers of the clouds, residents of the waning lands

A name for those who dwell within the Sky Realm.
It is said that when the Omnipotent formed the world, it also granted intelligence to four peoples. Yet, unsatisfied with their given lot, the four rose against the Omnipotent.
At this the Omnipotent departed, leaving the world as it was: suspended in the sky.
Other types outside of the four also exist in the Sky Realm, albeit in smaller numbers.

Astrals

Invaders from beyond

After their invasion of the Sky Realm and eventual defeat
in the War, the Astrals vanished from the world stage.
They were known to possess powers outside the bounds
of providence, with the now-common airship being an
example of adapted Astral technology.

Primals

Great beasts twisted into servants of the Astrals

The Astrals' most fearsome tools of war, primal beasts were bestowed with abilities encroaching on the divine. Falling into a deep slumber after the War, they eventually became integrated into local religions and cultures. Given only Astrals are capable of controlling them, a berserk primal beast is the equivalent of a natural disaster to most skydwellers.

The Crimson Horizon

A blasted realm of old

Commonly known as "the bottom of the skies."
The Crimson Horizon is a vast land said to stretch far below the Sky Realm.
Falling to such a depth would effectively mean death—as such, it is often
equated to the Otherworld, known as the realm of the afterlife.
Rumors are that grotesque creatures called "otherworlders" roam below.

Estalucia

The island of stars at the end of the sky

A land of fairy tales passed down from legends long ago.
Much like the Astrals, the existence of Estalucia is shrouded in mystery, with many skyfarers sailing the skies in search of it. Known as a mystical place full of secrecy and glory, it is said that those who reach Estalucia will have their dreams come true.
